Dr. Prajapati is currently working as IPDF (Institute Postdoc Fellow) the Department of Mechanical Engineering, IIT Madras, India. He received his Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering form IIT Patna in the Year-2019. He worked as a IPDF in the Department of Mechanical Engineering, IIT Delhi from December 2020 to December 2021. His area of specialization is tribology, surface texturing, and machine learning. Prior to joining IIT Patna, he completed his masters (M.Tech.) in Applied Mechanics specialization from MNNIT Allahabad in the Year-2014. He completed his bachelor degree (B.Tech.) in Mechanical Engineering specialization from K.I.E.T Ghaziabad, affiliated to UPTU Lucknow, U.P. in the Year-2011. His Ph.D. research work was focused on the numerical and experimental analysis of gears and rolling elements bearings. To date, he published more than Ten (20) peer-reviewed papers in prestigious journals like, Wear, Transactions of ASME-Journal of Tribology, Journal of Engineering Tribology, Fatigue & Fracture of Engineering Materials & Structures (FFEMS), Friction-Springer, and many more. He also served as a Reviewer for many prestigious journals like, Measurements, Transactions of ASME, etc. Currently, his current area of research is application of deep learning algorithms for analysis of gearbox rolling bearings.
