DeenFocus is a free Islamic productivity app designed to help users stay mindful of their time and عبادات (worship). This policy explains what data we collect and how we use it.

APP USAGE DATA (ACCESSIBILITY SERVICE)

DeenFocus uses an Accessibility Service only for its Focus Mode app blocking feature.

This service allows DeenFocus to:

• Detect when a selected app is opened

• Block access to that app when Focus Mode is active

The following data may be processed:

• App package names

• Foreground app state (which app is currently open)

This data:

• Is processed entirely on your device

• Is never collected, stored, or transmitted to our servers

• Is never shared with any third parties

DeenFocus does NOT access or collect:

• Screen content

• Typed text or passwords

• Messages, emails, or personal files

The Accessibility Service is used strictly for user-initiated app blocking functionality and not for any other purpose.

LOCATION DATA

DeenFocus uses your device’s location (GPS or manually selected city) solely to:

• Calculate accurate Islamic prayer times

• Determine Qibla direction

This data:

• Is processed locally on your device

• Is never stored or transmitted externally

• Is never shared with third parties

EXACT ALARM & NOTIFICATIONS

DeenFocus uses Android’s alarm system to deliver time-sensitive prayer notifications (Adhan) at precise times.

This includes:

• Scheduling exact alarms for prayer times

• Sending notifications at the correct moment

These alarms:

• Run locally on your device

• Do not transmit any user data

• Can be controlled or disabled by the user in system settings

FOREGROUND SERVICE (AUDIO PLAYBACK)

DeenFocus uses a foreground service only for audio playback, including:

• Adhan (call to prayer)

• Quran recitation

This ensures audio continues when:

• The app is in the background

• The device is locked

No user data is collected or transmitted through this feature.

DATA WE DO NOT COLLECT

DeenFocus does not collect:

• Personal information

• Usage analytics

• Advertising identifiers

• Device identifiers

• Any data that leaves your device

We do not sell, rent, or share user data with any third parties.

PERMISSIONS

DeenFocus requests only the permissions required for core functionality:

• Location
  Used only for prayer time calculation

• Notifications
  Used for prayer reminders and Adhan alerts

• Accessibility Service
  Used only for Focus Mode app blocking
  No personal or sensitive data is collected

• Overlay (Draw over other apps)
  Used to display the blocking screen for restricted apps

• Alarms & reminders
  Used to trigger exact prayer-time notifications

DATA STORAGE

All data (settings, blocked apps, preferences) is stored locally on your device using secure Android system storage.

No data is transmitted to external servers.

THIRD-PARTY SERVICES

DeenFocus does not use:

• Analytics services

• Advertising SDKs

• Remote databases

Quran audio may be streamed from public sources (e.g., everyayah.com).
No user data is sent with these requests.

DATA DELETION

Since DeenFocus does not store user data externally:

All data can be removed by:

• Clearing app data

• Uninstalling the app

CHILDREN’S PRIVACY

DeenFocus does not knowingly collect personal data from children and is safe for general audiences.

SECURITY

All processing happens locally on your device.
Any network communication (e.g., audio streaming) uses secure connections (HTTPS).
