Deen First is designed to respect your privacy and help you focus on your faith without worry. This Privacy Policy explains how your information is handled.
1. No Account Required
Deen First does not require you to sign in, create an account, or link any social media profiles. We do not collect personal identifiers such as your email, phone number, or address.
2. On-Device Personalization Only
To make the app experience more welcoming and relevant to you, we may ask for:
Your Name (so the app can greet you)
Your Gender (to customize the interface or content relevance)
Important: This information is stored locally on your device. It is never sent to our servers, never accessed by us, and never shared with anyone.
3. All Data Stored Locally
All usage data, preferences, and the personal details mentioned above reside entirely on your phone. We do not upload, transfer, sync, or store your data on any server or cloud service. You have full control. If you input data, it stays in your pocket.
4. No Data Collection, Tracking, or Analytics
Deen First is built with a strictly private approach. We:
Do not collect user usage data or analytics.
Do not track you across other apps or websites.
Do not use third-party tracking SDKs.
Do not sell or share your information with advertisers or third parties.
5. Permissions for Shield Functionality
To help you stay focused, Deen First includes a "Shield" feature that blocks or overlays distracting apps. To make this work, we require specific operating system permissions.
For Android Users (Accessibility Services): We request the Accessibility Service API permission.
Why we need it: This allows the app to detect when a specific app is opened so we can display the "Shield" overlay on top of it.
Our Promise: We use this permission strictly for the blocking functionality. We do not use it to read your screen content, capture keystrokes, or collect any personal data.
For iOS Users (Family Controls / Screen Time): We request access to Family Controls (Screen Time API).
Why we need it: This allows the app to restrict access to apps you choose to block during specific times.
Our Promise: This interaction happens entirely on your device to help you manage your time. We do not see which apps you use or for how long.
6. Your Control Over Your Data
Because your data is stored locally:
You may change your Name or Gender settings within the app at any time.
You can revoke Accessibility or Family Control permissions in your device settings at any time (though the Shield feature will stop working).
Deleting the app from your device will permanently remove all data associated with it.
7. Children’s Privacy
Deen First is safe for all ages. However, we do not knowingly collect personal information from children (or adults), as no data leaves the device.
8. Changes to This Policy
If we make any changes to this policy, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top. Continued use of the app constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
