Whalphabet is a collection of 36 black & white typographic characters that mixes composition technics with doodle-illustrations. The whole project is built as a riddle and is the first part of a life long project that will be unveiled part by part. It was created in 2021 by Swiss Creative Director and Illustrator Elie Kupsc.

The world depicted in those illustrations are inspired by various themes; like internet culture, classic art, mythology and crypto. The collection was in the making from early 2021. More than a year and countless hours later, the last doodle on the last letter was done. Each typographic character depicts a singular universe that is ruled by one of the 36whales. While the whales are guarding those worlds, something is silently looming, watching through space and time to be sure that the deepest secrets of the whalphabet remain kept. There is a saying that something is hidden inside this black and white collection, but no one ever got a glimpse of it.
