Decorom ("Decorom", "we", "our", or "us") provides an AI-powered interior and exterior design application that allows users to upload room or property images and generate redesigned versions using artificial intelligence.
This Privacy Policy explains what information Decorom processes, how it is used, when it may be shared with service providers, how long it is retained, and the choices available to you.
By using Decorom, you acknowledge the practices described in this Privacy Policy.
When you choose a photo for an AI design, Decorom processes the selected image in order to analyze the space and generate a redesigned version.
Images may include:
room or property photos you select;
generated design images;
thumbnails;
masks used for Structure Lock, Object Lock, or similar editing features; and
cropped reference images required for AI processing.
Decorom does not require access to your entire photo library when a selected-photo workflow is sufficient.
Before upload, selected images are processed to remove embedded metadata such as EXIF information, including available GPS metadata. Our backend also performs additional image sanitization.
We may process information you provide or select when creating a design, including:
room type;
selected design style;
redesign intensity;
objects selected for preservation;
masks;
project names;
custom design instructions; and
other settings required to perform the requested redesign.
Custom instructions may be sent to our AI service provider as part of the instructions necessary to generate your requested design.
Decorom may process AI-generated analysis about a room or image, including detected room types, objects, architectural features, structural information, and validation results.
Generated designs and associated project information may be stored so that you can access your projects and design history.
Decorom currently uses anonymous accounts.
We do not require you to provide a name, email address, or phone number to create a Decorom account.
A randomly generated account identifier is used to maintain your projects, credits, subscription state, and other application functionality.
Authentication credentials are securely managed. Authentication secrets stored on our servers are stored in protected form rather than as reusable plaintext credentials.
If you purchase a Decorom Pro subscription, purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store.
Decorom may receive and process information necessary to verify and manage the subscription, such as:
subscription product;
transaction and subscription status;
purchase and renewal information;
expiration status;
refund or revocation information; and
information necessary to prevent duplicate credit grants and purchase abuse.
Decorom does not receive or store your payment card or banking information. Payment processing is handled by Apple.
We may collect limited pseudonymous product interaction information to understand whether Decorom functions correctly and to improve the user experience.
This may include events such as:
onboarding progression;
paywall interactions;
generation attempts and outcomes;
feature usage;
design feedback; and
application workflow events.
This product interaction information is stored by Decorom. Information shared with Meta for advertising measurement is described separately below and in Section 9.
We may process operational information necessary to operate and improve AI generation, such as:
AI provider and model;
generation outcome;
processing duration;
token usage;
estimated generation cost;
validation results; and
technical error codes.
This information is used for reliability, performance, security, debugging, and service improvement.
Decorom uses the Meta (Facebook) SDK to measure the effectiveness of our advertising campaigns on Meta platforms, such as whether an ad led to an app installation or a subscription.
Through the Meta SDK, the following information may be sent to Meta:
app installation and app launch events;
subscription and free trial start events reported through the App Store purchase flow, including the subscription product, price and currency;
a one-time event when you complete your first AI design;
technical information collected by the Meta SDK, such as device model, operating system version, app version, language, time zone and IP address; and
your device's advertising identifier (IDFA), only if you allow tracking through Apple's App Tracking Transparency permission.
Decorom does not send your photos, generated designs, masks, project names, custom design instructions or your Decorom account identifier to Meta.
We have disabled the optional Meta SDK features that send screen titles, app metadata and app layout information.
We use information processed through Decorom to:
provide AI-powered room and property redesigns;
analyze uploaded images;
preserve selected architectural structures or objects;
generate and validate redesigned images;
maintain projects and design history;
manage credits and subscriptions;
verify App Store purchases;
prevent duplicate grants, abuse, and technical errors;
operate and secure our services;
diagnose failures and improve reliability;
understand how application features perform;
measure the effectiveness of our advertising campaigns, as described in Section 9; and
comply with applicable legal and platform requirements.
We do not sell your personal information.
Decorom does not use your photos for advertising.
Decorom uses Google Gemini to provide AI image analysis and generation functionality.
When you request an AI operation, information necessary to perform that operation may be transmitted to Google Gemini.
Depending on the feature, this may include:
the photo you selected;
masks;
cropped reference images;
generated images requiring validation;
room and object information;
design style and settings; and
custom design instructions.
Your Decorom account identifier is not intentionally included in the content sent to Google Gemini for AI processing.
Before a user's selected photo is first transmitted for third-party AI processing, Decorom presents an AI Photo Processing disclosure explaining this processing and requests permission to continue.
If permission is declined, the selected image is not submitted for that AI operation.
Decorom currently uses a paid Gemini API service. According to Google's terms and documentation for paid Gemini API services, prompts, files, and responses submitted through Paid Services are not used to improve Google's products or train its models. Google may nevertheless process or retain certain information for purposes such as abuse monitoring, security, service operation, or where optional logging features are enabled, subject to Google's applicable terms and policies.
Google's own privacy and service terms govern Google's processing of information as a service provider.
Decorom relies on a limited number of service providers to operate the application.
Google Gemini provides AI image analysis and generation services. Content required to perform an AI request may be transmitted to Google as described above.
Railway infrastructure is used to operate portions of Decorom's backend, database, and private object storage infrastructure.
Infrastructure providers may process technical information required to provide and secure their services.
Railway platform HTTP logs may contain standard request information such as IP address and User-Agent information. Such infrastructure logs are subject to Railway's applicable platform retention practices.
Decorom's application does not intentionally persist raw IP addresses for product analytics.
Apple processes App Store purchases and subscriptions.
Decorom receives purchase and subscription information necessary to verify entitlements and manage Decorom Pro access and AI design credits.
Apple's processing is governed by Apple's own privacy policies and terms.
Meta Platforms provides the Meta SDK, which Decorom uses for advertising measurement as described in Section 1 and Section 9.
Meta may process information it receives through the SDK in accordance with its own terms and the Meta Privacy Policy (https://www.facebook.com/privacy/policy). For some purposes, such as improving its advertising products, Meta may act as an independent controller of that information.
We retain different categories of information for different periods depending on their purpose.
Projects, associated images, generated designs, masks, and project history are generally retained while they remain associated with your account, until you delete the relevant project or delete your Decorom account.
Uploads that are no longer associated with an active project, generation, or other required application record may be automatically removed after approximately 30 days, subject to integrity and safety checks.
Eligible pseudonymous analytics and funnel information is generally retained for up to 365 days.
Eligible AI provider, model, performance, cost, latency, and similar operational telemetry is generally retained for up to 365 days, or may be removed earlier when associated content is deleted where applicable.
Removal of operational telemetry does not necessarily remove the user-facing project or generation history that remains necessary to provide your saved projects.
Certain purchase, subscription, credit, refund, revocation, restoration, anti-duplication, fraud-prevention, and transaction-integrity records may need to be retained longer where reasonably necessary to:
maintain subscription and credit integrity;
prevent duplicate grants;
process refunds or revocations;
resolve purchase or restoration issues;
prevent abuse; or
meet legal, accounting, security, or platform obligations.
Infrastructure providers may maintain operational logs according to their own retention schedules. Our current Railway hosting configuration provides limited platform log retention.
Decorom does not store your device's advertising identifier on its servers. Information sent to Meta through the Meta SDK is retained by Meta in accordance with Meta's own data retention policies.
Decorom provides an in-app account deletion option.
When you delete your Decorom account, Decorom initiates deletion of account-associated data that is no longer required for legitimate operational, security, purchase-integrity, or legal purposes.
This includes deletion of associated project content and stored image objects through our deletion process.
Some limited records may be retained after account deletion where necessary for purposes such as:
App Store transaction integrity;
preventing previously granted subscription periods from being granted again;
refunds and revocations;
fraud and abuse prevention;
security;
dispute resolution; or
legal obligations.
Where such records must be retained, Decorom seeks to remove or minimize direct association with the deleted account where reasonably possible.
Deleting a Decorom account does not cancel an Apple App Store subscription.
Subscriptions must be managed or cancelled through Apple's subscription management system.
If you create a new anonymous Decorom account after deleting an existing account, it is treated as a new Decorom account. An eligible existing App Store subscription may require the Restore Purchases process to be associated with the new account.
Decorom requests permission before first sending a selected photo to our third-party AI provider.
You may decline this processing. If you decline, Decorom will not submit that selected image for the requested AI operation.
Information about AI processing is also available from the Privacy & Data section of the application.
Because AI processing is required to perform AI redesign functionality, declining AI processing means that features requiring that processing cannot complete the requested AI operation.
We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information handled by Decorom.
Measures used by Decorom include, where applicable:
encrypted HTTPS connections;
private object storage;
short-lived signed URLs for protected content;
server-side authentication;
rotating authentication credentials;
secure iOS Keychain storage;
server-side App Store transaction verification;
restricted server-side API credentials;
metadata removal from uploaded images; and
access controls around stored content.
No method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Decorom uses the Meta SDK to measure the performance of our advertising campaigns.
App Tracking Transparency. Decorom asks for your permission through Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt before your device's advertising identifier (IDFA) can be used to track you across apps and websites owned by other companies. Decorom asks this question once, on the app's home screen.
If you allow tracking, the Meta SDK may use your advertising identifier together with the events described in Section 1 to attribute app installations and subscriptions to our ads and to help Meta optimize ad delivery.
If you do not allow tracking, your advertising identifier is not accessed. Meta may still receive limited event information without your advertising identifier, which it may use for aggregated advertising measurement.
All features of Decorom work the same way whether or not you allow tracking.
You can change your choice at any time in iOS Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking, or in Settings > Decorom.
If you have a Meta account, you can also review and manage information that businesses share with Meta in your Meta account settings ("Your activity off Meta technologies").
We do not sell your photos or designs to advertisers, and we do not use your photos for advertising.
Decorom is a general-audience application and is not specifically directed to children.
We do not knowingly design the service for the collection of personal information from children.
If we become aware that information has been collected in circumstances requiring deletion under applicable law, we will take appropriate steps to address it.
Decorom's service providers may process information in countries other than the country in which you reside.
Where applicable, such processing is subject to the safeguards, contractual requirements, and legal obligations applicable to Decorom and its service providers.
Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have rights relating to information associated with you.
Decorom provides mechanisms that may allow you to:
delete your Decorom account;
delete applicable projects or content;
decline third-party AI photo processing before it begins;
allow or decline tracking through Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt, and change this choice at any time in iOS Settings;
manage information shared with Meta through your Meta account settings, if you have a Meta account;
manage or cancel App Store subscriptions through Apple; and
contact us regarding privacy questions or applicable data rights.
Because Decorom currently uses anonymous accounts, we may need sufficient information to securely identify the relevant account before fulfilling certain requests.
We may update this Privacy Policy when Decorom's features, service providers, data practices, or legal obligations change.
When we make changes, we will update the Last Updated date at the top of this policy.
Material changes may also be communicated through the application where appropriate.
