Important Announcements

• Please send a lunchbox with a snack, drink, placemat, and trash bag on half days and a snack and lunch on full days. 

• Change in carpool: Please send a note to the school via the red folder letting us know. If it is a last-minute change, call the front office. Please do not send us an email with last-minute changes. We may not be able to read it in time. 

• We are a NUT-FREE classroom. Children may not bring items containing nuts or processed in a factory with nuts to school.

• If you are dropping off a forgotten item at school, please ensure it is labeled with your child's name, classroom number, and teacher's name.  All items should be placed in the bins in the front of the school.  Please email us to notify us it is there. Thank you!

• Signed Paper Folders: any tests that received a grade of AE or NE should have test corrections written on a separate piece of paper and stapled to the test. Please do not make any marks on the original test.  ALL tests (regardless of score) must be returned to school in the folder by the due date.

• Please be sure to sign your child's homework organizer every night.

• Spelling Homework: This is a weekly assignment due on Thursdays. All students must write the assigned words in ABC Order three times and write eight sentences using eight of the assigned words. Spelling words are written in the homework organizers every Friday. Children should use the correct de Chantal heading when completing these assignments. Samples of the headings were stapled to homework organizers, and copies were sent home in the red folder for reference.

• Twenty minutes of IXL is due every Monday unless otherwise noted. The IXL work must be completed by Sunday evening. This applies to three-day weekends as well. Students should work on the skills assigned by the teacher to reinforce the work done in the classroom.

• Children may wear their PE uniforms to school on their designated P.E. day. Room 6 on Tuesdays and Room 5 on Thursdays.

• Morning and Afternoon Care are available through the De Chantal Extended Day Program. All students must be pre-registered to attend. If you have questions, contact Lisa Tehan at extendedday@gmail.com.
