Young Artists Program is offering free live Zoom art classes where elementary students in grades 1–5 will make a thank-you card or artwork for a teacher, mentor, counselor, coach, librarian, principal, or school staff member.
Each class is beginner-friendly and guided step by step. Students will brainstorm who they want to thank, sketch their idea, decorate their card, and write a meaningful message.

One session is enough, but students may join more than one
Students will plan, sketch, decorate, and finish a thank-you card or mini artwork they can give to someone meaningful.
Families may choose the session or sessions that work best for their schedule. Each class will guide students through the same core thank-you card project, so one session is enough to participate.
Students are also welcome to attend more than one session if they would like extra time, additional practice, or another chance to keep creating.
Session 1: Monday, June 8 at 6:00 PM ET — Grades 1–2
Session 2: Tuesday, June 9 at 6:30 PM ET — Grades 3–5
Session 3: Wednesday, June 10 at 6:00 PM ET — All elementary students
Session 4: Thursday, June 11 at 6:30 PM ET — Grades 1–2
Session 5: Friday, June 12 at 5:30 PM ET — Grades 3–5
Session 6: Saturday, June 13 at 11:00 AM ET — All elementary students
Session 7: Sunday, June 14 at 4:00 PM ET — All elementary students
The Zoom link will be sent after parent/guardian registration.
Students only need basic supplies they already have at home.

• Optional: construction paper, glue, tape, paint, or other decorating materials
Parent/guardian registration is required. A parent or guardian should be nearby during the Zoom class.
Students should use first names only during the session. Any submitted artwork will only be included in the digital thank-you book with parent/guardian permission.
After the class, families may choose to submit a photo of the finished artwork for a digital thank-you book.
The book will celebrate student artwork and the teachers, mentors, and school staff members who helped make the school year meaningful. Participation in the digital book is optional, and artwork will only be included with parent/guardian permission.
Future Young Artists Classes
Dear Teacher is the first class series in Young Artists Program. Families who are interested may also receive updates about future free online art classes.
Future class topics may include poster design, drawing basics, seasonal art projects, mixed media, and art competition preparation. These classes will help students build creative confidence and develop stronger finished artwork.
