Dallas ISD received a waiver for the four days the district was closed this winter for inclement weather. This means that the two days set aside on the calendar as inclement weather make up days—April 6 and May 4—will NOT be used. Schools will be closed on those days. These will be days off for students and campus team members.
Benjamin Myers (8th Grade) competed as a Maverick, meaning he debated alone. He won 6th place speaker. He made it all the way to the Quarterfinals. He was the only Texas representative.
UIL Choir will be on March 31 or April 1.
We will need some chaperones for both trips.
If you are interested in chaperoning please contact Mrs. Suarez (vicsuarez@dallasisd.org)
The Healthy Lifestyles Committee is continuing the Veggie Star Lunch Program. Those interested in volunteering may sign up using the SignUpGenius link provided.
During the event, parent volunteers will help “catch” students enjoying their vegetables by writing their names on raffle tickets. One winner will be selected from each cohort (PreK/K, Grades 1–3, Grades 4–5, and Grades 6–8). Up to three parent volunteers may participate per shift, with two shifts available.
DragonsFly offers an incredible opportunity for Dealey students to explore the world through thoughtfully planned educational tours with EF Tours. While these international experiences are not sponsored by Dealey or DISD, they are led by passionate educators who believe in the power of travel to inspire, educate, and transform.

For the safety of our students, ALL adults working with Dealey students after school must have a district-issued badge. This includes PTA volunteers, Dealey Soccer, Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts, Baseball, Basketball, and all other extracurricular providers.
Process to Obtain Your Badge:

Be VOLY approved — sign up on the VOLY website
Stop by the office to take your badge photo. Each adult will need to be issued a permanent badge that must be worn while on campus. You may coordinate with Ms. Vara to come take your picture anytime in the main office.

Consider joining our Dealey Facebook Groups to stay updated, share ideas, staying connected in our community!
George Bannerman Dealey Montessori Academy - This is a group that was made to connect with people that went to George Bannerman Dealey Montesorri Academy from 1995-2005
Dealey Uniform Swap and Sell FB Group - Many of us have uniforms, soccer gear, school supplies, etc to sell. Ideas include: uniforms shirts; uniform pants/shorts; Dealey wear; jackets, sweaters and coats; school supplies such as binders, pencil packs, paper, backpacks; soccer cleats, uniforms, shorts, etc.. Sell items at "GARAGE SALE" prices. Thought we'd try a group where we can safely sell amongst each other and deliver at school or arrange for pickup. Please only add Dealey families to keep it all safe.
