Kiira Russell teaches orchestra to students in 1st-8th grade at Dealey. She has been a Dealey Dragon for 6 years, but a parent here for even longer. Prior to teaching orchestra at Dealey she has taught private lessons, general music, choir, band, and orchestra. She holds a bachelor's degree in Music Education from the Oberlin Conservatory as well as certificates in Orff-Schulwerk, Rolland Teaching Methods, and Dalcroze Eurythmics. She has two children who attend Dealey and are going into 5th and 7th grade.  In addition to playing and listening to all types of music, she enjoys gardening, sailing on Lake Ray Hubbard, knitting, and spending time with her family.
