By the end of this school year, I will be a 17 year veteran of the Dallas Independent School District. During this time, I have engaged in several leadership capacities including Instructional Coaching through the Texas High School Project, teaching Pre-AP high school and middle school courses, implementing a Debate team, and a plethora of other campus based leadership roles. I love building people, so I often volunteer in the community through my church and my own personal outreach endeavors, singing to the homeless, helping juveniles, visiting nursing homes (it has been a minute), and serving others however I can. In this world, I aim to be a part of the solution and not the problem; a help and not a hindrance; a light and not a shadow. I love teaching and consider it a ministry. I do not take it lightly for I understand I have the opportunity to change lives one lesson at a time.
On a personal note, I love to travel and spend time with my loved ones. I enjoy singing and writing. I am very active at my church and everywhere I go. I endeavor to make sure that no one leaves my presence worse than when they enter it. If I am the only person they see that day, they would have felt loved if only for that moment.
