TALAMASCA.

• the talamasca caste, also referred to as "order of the talamasca" or simply "talamasca," is described as a secret society set up to watch over and keep track of the paranormal, in particular witches, vampires, spirits, and werewolves. members of the talamasca are described as "psychic detectives" and actually get paid very well for their jobs. 

• an organisation with bases across the globe, the organisation is said to have officially founded in the 11th century but certainly existed long before that. their headquarters in different cities across the world will often be referred to as 'mother houses' and will have its own hierarchy of members and leadership within. however, the amsterdam mother house remains to be the main headquarters for the order.  

• the organisation has been especially talented at hiding information of the supernatural world from mundanes, often collecting diaries and many other artefacts from vampires and other beings in order to ensure their secrets were never revealed.

• they work in high secrecy and in a way, can often be compared alongside spies. they have numerous more outward goals, but primarily work with great privacy and secret keeping, so knowing their true, real goals is often unheard of. they are a secret organisation for a reason, but there are certain other groups that they cross over with from time to time. 

• MAJOR SPOILERS FOR AMC SHOW BELOW! 

• within the tv show talamasca: the secret order, 'the 752' is referred to and there is a primary goal to retrieve the 752. it is rumoured to be a 'something' that holds all of the talamasca's great knowledge gathered over centuries. is it a book? is it something else? nobody seems to truly know, some don't even believe it is real. but by the end of the show, it is uncovered to be an actual living person (vampire) with a supernatural memory that means that she is able to retain all information she reads. in the 70s, all of the files houses at the amsterdam mother house were destroyed in a fire. it turns out, this was planned and orchestrated by the order itself. this was so the only was to gain access to this knowledge, would be through the 752/doris. 

• doris is forcibly turned into a vampire in 1985 by the talamasca in order to essentially, use her forever to hold all of their knowledge. 

• within this server we will be merging events from the show into our timeline and establishing that the events of season one happened during the summer of 2025. this means that the things that happened in the show were almost a direct reaction to akasha's massacres that took place at the end of 2024 and into the start of 2025. please be sure to read applications for guy anatole & jasper in server for more information on this side of the world & events in the aftermath of season one.
