the road is long & dark...
the make up of hell is actually surprisingly well organised. for all of their so-called chaos, there is a lot of order to keep things running smoothly. which is perhaps part of why hell was still able to do the bidding of lucifer even while lucifer was locked in the pit for so long. within hell, there are what is known as the six supremes of hell. these six demons were among the first made by lucifer and have key, important jobs they have held and alongside the seven princes of hell, they were crucial in keeping hell running in lucifer's absence. associated with hell are also the seven deadly sins, demons created by lucifer with the physical powers of the sins they embody, beings with the power of long life and reincarnation, who have influence over other beings. the sins tend to never look much older than 30ish. the domini family are the current incarnations of this. below you will find a break down of some of these different sections.
the six supremes of hell:
abaddon: the first demon created by lucifer. formed through lucifer’s experimentations with human souls and that of an archangel captured. the most brutal and efficient of all the demons, ruled alongside the likes of beelzebub while lucifer has been in the pit.
lilith: the first human to be turned into a demon, mother of demons, was key in helping with the whole antichrist thing. also mother to her own, unique line of vampires who knew her by the name adalind.
azazel: one of the angels cast out alongside lucifer, has a habit of relations with human– good god this fucker has so many bastards running around, the ones heaven didn’t Deal With that is.
mephistopheles/mephisto: the original and first crossroads demon– a demon pledged with conducting deals with humans.
dagon: hells first army leader, tasks with the job of training demons, preparing for war.
alecto: hells first torture-focused demon, responsible for, primarily, conducting punishment.
the seven princes' of hell:
these have in fact changed in recent years and the title of 'duke' is sometimes used instead. crowley is one of the newer princes' of hell. beelzebub used to be one. asmodeus, mammon, belphegor are among some of the others.

goals
the primary goal of lucifer, and therefore the forces of hell, is at least outwardly 'to bring freedom to all realms' and to fight the oppressive and restrictive nature of heaven. it's the company line. it's the charming nature of lucifer. do bad things, but do it with a pretty smile and speak up for people having control over themselves. of course, anyone that knows, anyone higher up in the food chain in hell understands that while this may be the truth, there are far more brutal goals within it too.
lucifer wants god dead. he wants her gone, and the likes of metatron along with her. he wants to strip the angels of all their powers in order to full pull out the heavenly force at its root. he's hurt and angry and doesn't believe in any of what heaven stands for. once upon a time, he would have wanted to reshape it from within. he hasn't been that person in a long time. he doesn't believe in it, and he thinks it'll be a much more indulgent and enjoyable existence for all if they are gone. and so, this includes all those that align themselves with heaven. the nightshade council are among hell's enemies, and on the flipside, they are aligned with the order of shade, but also now more directly, rieker academy.
