When we meet someone and fell in love, we thought that they are the one. But sometimes, that love fades when we meet someone who can fill the desires we can't get from our partner. Funny how a human can't be contented with what they have. A lot of relationships are ruined because of temptation. Just because we can't be contented, we find someone who can fill in their desires.

That's what happened to the story "Dead Stars" by: Paz Marquez Benitez. After years in their relationship, this one mistake, the temptation, could've ended everything. Even their wedding. He was longing for something that he couldn't get from Esperanza, so when he met Julia for the first he became attracted to her. He became secretive to his fiance. But when Esperanza discovered about his affair, she tried to persuade him to chase his desires and cancel the wedding, however he didn't and instead chose a life with Esperanza. And after a few years, when Alfredo and Julia meet again, he can't help but think about a life with her. But when they saw each other, he couldn't find the old Julia that he once loved.

May it be material things or love, it is hard to fill in our desires as we are not created to be a perfect human. We tend to make mistakes. Broken trust is hard to fix, but in time, maybe everything can be how the way they used to be.
