Legion of Superheroes: Disintegration 

• Some time has passed since heroes Cosmic Boy, Saturn Girl, and Lightning Lad met at University and were inspired to start the Legion of Superheroes. Now they have their own headquarters and a couple news recruits from tryouts which include Braniac 5 and Phantom Girl.

• Our 5 heroes are in the middle of a fighting a training simulation robot, but things are not going so well. The “team” is completely out of sync. As Cosmic Boy moved a lamp post to throw at the target, it just barely misses Braniac 5’s head containing his 12th level intellect. The robot throws Lightning Lad into the air. Good thing Braniac made anti-gravity rings for everyone to help him break his fall. It is a miracle that they managed to defeat the simulation before an alarm sounded at their headquarters. There was trouble in the city.

• As they arrive in the city, they see a mass of destruction and the disintegration of buildings, streets, and vehicles. An eco-terrorist, known as Mano, is using his antimatter powers to destroy the city. The United Planets is responsible for the destruction of his own home., through their sprawling expansion of infrastructure. The Legion of superheroes try to stop his destructive feat of revenge, but like their training exercise, things are going poorly.

• Anything Cosmic Boy tosses at him immediatly disintegrates. Braniac’s arrogance keeps butting heads with Cosmic Boy. Saturn Girl is trying tirelessly to get pedestrians to safety with help with her telekinetic powers. Phantom Girl tries to use her phasing abilities to get close. But there’s a miscommunication and Lightening Lad accidentally strikes Phantom Girl instead of Mano, rendering Phantom Girl unconsius. The struggle continues. It seems hopeless.

• As if on cue, a girl approaches the team and says, “Hey, is it too late to try out for the team?” This is Triplicate Girl. She had been at the tryouts for new members, but they thought her powers were useless during the tryouts. But now, she is exactly who they need. Triplicate Girl is the only one who can get close to Mano since she can split off new bodies after one gets destroyed. They continue to fight with the help of their newest recruit.

• Lightening Lad strikes again at Mano, except this time the Mano fires positrons back to nullify his charge. Brainac 5 insults him for how ineffectual that move would be. Lightning Lad in frustration responds with, “I can’t read your mind, ya know!” With that, Saturn girl has an idea to help of her telepathic abilities, mind links the team. 

• With their new channel of communication, the team can read each others minds. They have never been more in sync. They are able to work together to defeat Mano by beaching his suit. Since antimater and mater destroy eachother when they make contact, the outside world hurts Mano. He then has to focus all of his energy into not being destroyed. Taking advantage of this, the Legion locks up Mano headquarters within a quantum equilibrium uncertainty chamber where he is neither destroyed or alive at the same time. The Legion thanks Triplicate Girl joins the team and Cosmic Boy says they should look into some more recruits to expand even more.
