Green Lantern: Test Flight

• Hal Jordan was a cocky Air Force pilot who got fired because he was such a show-off and didn’t seem like he took work seriously.

• He has a relationship with the Cornell's daughter, Carol Farris.

• After he was fired, he tried to test a plane to prove his point correct but during his illegal test, he came across Abin Sur. 

• It was revealed that the government (ARGUS) had secretly made plans to meet with the Green Lanterns and negotiate something, but Abin Sur died before he could make it. 

• Hal Jordan was given the ring of Abin Surr and he got launched into space. 

• Hal Jordan is brought to the council of the Guardians of the Universe and is appointed to take over Earth’s space sector, 2814.

• He has a training session with Kilowag and Tomar Re while Sinestro goes to investigate the body of Abin Sur on Earth.

• Hal Jordan and Tomar go to handle a Manhunter, who is killing inmates in a prison facility. The Manhunters were a group of robots made by the Guardians of the Universe before the Green Lanterns. They went rogue and started to be too brutal to criminals and try to over-police and kill all crime. After they defeat the Manhunter, a few more villains escape such as Lobo and Kanjar Ro. 

• It is revealed that Abin had his ship somehow infiltrated by Parallax, the entity of fear, and during the autopsy, Hector Hammond was infected by the fear of Parallax. After infecting Hammond, Parallax becomes a giant monster and escapes to rampage across Coast City.

• Sinestro goes back and reports to the Guardians that Abin was infected by Parallax and then the Guardians send an army of Green Lanterns to Earth to defeat it. 

• There was a big battle and Parallax was killing a lot of people and incapacitating Green Lanterns, but then Hal Jordan revealed his crazy amount of willpower to defeat Parallax. They were able to use such strong willpower to remove fear's strength from Parallax and reduce him to a small little creature that was then contained.

• They went back to the Guardians and gave them the Parallax specimen. Hal was promoted to protect Earth and it was hinted that the Guardians have had negotiations with humans to give them a Green Lantern specifically for Earth.

• He went back and told Carol everything they love each other.

• At the end, Sinestro uses the specimen from Parallax to create the first Yellow Lantern ring, and he becomes the true Sinestro.
