Captain Marvel: Heart of Gold

• Billy Batson is falling asleep in class and gets a detention but it is only because he is staying up late and having a rough life in the orphanage. Later in the orphanage, we see Billy is getting adopted by Uncle Dudley.

• At Uncle Dudley‘s home, we see that it is broken down and not in great shape but when he meets Freddy and Mary, we see that it is full of love.

• One day while walking to school, Freddy gets ambushed by a couple of hooligans and Billy helps defend Freddy from the hoodlums, then gets chased by them. He saved Freddy and manages to escape the goons. Billy catches his breath under a tree where he sees a cat stuck in the tree. He shakes the cat down and chases it down into a weird hole, where the cat then turns into Tawky Tawny.

• The wizard Shazam comes out and reveals that they have been waiting for somebody like Billy for decades. Someone who has a true heart of gold. They give him the power of Shazam. (Wisdom of Solomon, strength of Hercules, stamina of Atlas, power of Zeus, courage of Achilles, and speed of Murcury.) The wizard tells him he needs to go take care of the tyrant, Black Adam, in Kahndaq. Billy understands his power but also worries that he can’t leave his family or fail again.

• The wizard Shazam, then dissipates and dies after he gives the powers to Billy. Billy has to go to Kahndaq and face Black Adam. When he gets to Kahndaq, Black Adam senses that he was coming and meets him in the sky to talk before they fight. 

• Black Adam thinks that the wizard is a coward for not using the gods' powers to maintain order as Black Adam thinks he is doing. Billy talks to him and tells Adam that he’s had the power for too long and it has corrupted him. They then have a big fight, and at the end of the fight, Black Adam lifts Captain Marvel up and says Shazam and finds out that Billy is only a kid.

• He warns Billy to stay away, or there will be consequences, but then Billy kicks off Adam to free himself and turns back into Captain Marvel to attack black Adam again. Black Adam handedly beats him up. Captain Marvel is in rough shape before Black Adam then gives him a big throw that lands him out of Kahndaq as one last warning. Black Adam told Billy that if he sets foot in Kahndaq again, he will die. Billy has failed his mission.

• We also saw that the Dudley family was looking for Billy very frantically, and thought that something may have happened to him or Billy ran away. Later that night, Billy comes knocking at the door and the Dudleys welcome him back with open arms. Billy knows that he is finally full of love.

• When Billy goes to his bedroom, we see that Tawky Tawny has appeared and is saying that because of Captain Marvel's failure, the rage of Olympus will soon be upon them all.
