DCSB-Italfarmaco Award

Dear Members,

It is a pleasure to communicate that the DCSB-Italfarmaco Award, named after Gastone De Santis, founder of the , is also being launched this year.

The prize will be awarded to a young scientist (35 years to 01-01-2018) who has carried out relevant research activities in the field of the Chemistry of Biological Systems. Participation is open to all members of the SCI provided that they are effective or adherent of the DCSB-Division. Participation to the competition is valid even if registration is made at the same time as sending the documentation.

The winner will be invited, as guest of the Division, to present his\her scientific work in English at the Divisional Congress and will receive a a contribution of € 2,500 from Italfarmaco Company .

Candidates presenting up to the third degree of relationship with the Division's Board members are excluded from participation in the competition. The awarded work can not have been carried out in the laboratories of the Councilors themselves.

The application, complete with CVs and a maximum of five scientific publications, published in the 3 years preceding the announcement (2015-2016-2017), must be sent by e-mail not later than June 15, 2018 to the following address: coletta@uniroma2.it; carla.isernia@unicampania.it;
