Connecting Families to Community Resources
Family Resource Day brings the community together for a day filled with art, music, games, and a free farmers’ market. This day aims to connect our community's most vulnerable members to food, new clothing, shoes, backpacks with school supplies, and much more. We aim to help the littlest members of our community have the tools to excel in areas of academic and extracurricular life.
This event features a variety of interactive art stations for families to participate in, ranging from the visual arts to musical instruments. Our booths will also connect families to additional programs focused on these arts that children can participate in throughout the year at no financial cost. This event serves as the gateway for the children in our community to be introduced to the arts and be able to continue their journey without financial barriers.
For many parents, the end of one school year means the start of preparing for the next. Back-to-school season can be an exciting time for students and families, but it can also bring financial challenges for some. I've always believed in our community and how we always come together and support a cause. I'll share why we are lifting Family Resource Day and ways you can be involved.

Many families struggle to afford back-to-school expenses, with some families spending up to 10% of their income on school supplies alone.
The pandemic has worsened the financial hardship for many families
Inadequate access to school supplies and resources can hurt a child's academic performance and self-esteem.
3 Steps We Can Take:
Donate: Every dollar counts, and 100% of your donation will go towards clothing, shoes, school supplies, and making sure that families get the support that they need for the upcoming school year.
Volunteer: We're looking for artists who would love to showcase their interactive art during Family Resource Day! We're looking for volunteers to help us organize and distribute the supplies to students.
Spread the Word: Share our efforts with your friends and families on social media and encourage them to donate.
Students feel more confident and prepared when they have the necessary tools and supplies for school. Let's lift our community one backpack at a time.
