Day Left ("we", "our", or "the app") is a life-awareness mobile application available on iOS and Android. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect (if any), how we use it, and your rights.
We are committed to protecting your privacy. In short: Day Left does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data to our servers. Everything stays on your device.
──────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────
Day Left does not collect, upload, or share any of the following:
• Your name, email address, or account information
• Your date of birth or any health-related data you enter
• Your location
• Your contacts or calendar
• Your photos or camera
• Crash reports or analytics sent to our servers
• Usage behaviour, session data, or heatmaps
All data you enter in the app (birthday, screen time estimates, life expectancy settings, habits) is stored exclusively on your device using local storage (AsyncStorage) and is never transmitted anywhere.
──────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────
The following information is stored locally on your device only:
• Date of birth (used to calculate days remaining)
• Life expectancy setting
• Daily screen time estimates per app category
• Habit toggles (Exercise, Diet, Sleep, Mindfulness)
• Projection horizon setting
• Notification preferences and scheduled notification ID
• Selected language (English / Tiếng Việt)
This data is stored using React Native AsyncStorage under the key "day-left-store". It is never sent to any server, including ours. You can delete all data at any time by uninstalling the app or using the "Reset Onboarding" option in Settings.
──────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────
Day Left displays advertisements provided by Google AdMob to support free access to the app. Google AdMob may collect certain data to serve relevant ads, including:
• Device advertising identifier (IDFA on iOS, GAID on Android)
• IP address (used to determine approximate location for ad targeting)
• Device type, operating system version, and app version
• Ad interaction data (impressions, clicks)
This data is collected by Google, not by Do Fun App. We do not have access to this data.
On iOS, the app will request your permission to use the Advertising Identifier via Apple's App Tracking Transparency (ATT) framework. You may decline this request — ads will still be shown, but they will not be personalised.
To learn more about how Google handles advertising data, please review Google's Privacy Policy:
https://policies.google.com/privacy
To opt out of personalised advertising, you can:
• iOS: go to Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking → disable for Day Left
• Android: go to Settings → Google → Ads → Delete advertising ID
──────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────
Day Left offers an optional daily notification at midnight as a reminder. This feature:
• Requires you to explicitly grant notification permission
• Uses the Expo Notifications library to schedule a local (on-device) notification — no server push
• Does not transmit any data to our servers
You can disable notifications at any time from the app's Settings screen or from your device's system notification settings.
──────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────
Day Left is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect any personal information from children. The app's age rating is 4+ (no objectionable content), but the subject matter (life expectancy, mortality awareness) is intended for adults.
If you believe a child has provided personal information through this app, please contact us and we will address it promptly.

Since Day Left does not transmit personal data to any server, there is no risk of server-side data breach affecting your personal information. All data resides on your local device and is subject to the security measures provided by your operating system (iOS or Android).
We recommend keeping your device and operating system up to date to ensure the best security protections.
──────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────
Since we do not collect or store any personal data on our servers, most data rights (access, rectification, deletion) are exercised directly on your device:
• Delete all app data: uninstall the app, or use Settings → Reset Onboarding
• Opt out of personalised ads: via iOS Settings or Android Google settings (see Section 4)
• Disable notifications: via the app's Settings screen or your device settings
If you are a resident of the EU (GDPR), California (CCPA), or another jurisdiction with specific data privacy laws, and you have questions about your rights, please contact us at trandung1291@gmail.com.
──────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the new policy.
We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
