In 2009, the Providence Parks Department partnered with the neighborhood group, Elmhurst Clean & Green to establish the Davis Park Community Garden. Our garden has seen several expansion phases allowing for us to currently have nearly 50 plots and now have a pollinator meadow that features plants that are native to area. Each year, we welcome new and returning gardeners to the space.
Interested in joining the Davis Park Community Graden? Reach out to our Plot Coordination Team via email.
Gardeners have first right of refusal on an annual basis of previous plots assigned. Plot assignments are communicated to returning gardeners in early Spring. We welcome new gardeners to the space throughout the season as long as there are unassigned plots.

2026 Davis Park Community Garden Guidelines
Please note that the Work Teams replace the scheduled Work Days of the past. The intent is to enable Gardeners to perform their communal tasks when best for their schedule. Many people had difficulty attending set Work Days due to time conflicts.
Each gardener agrees to complete a minimum of 3 hours of community garden service tasks as determined/assigned by Work Team Leaders on a schedule that works best for you. This is in addition to the time you spend on your own garden plots.
