What catches your eye?

This work focuses on the theme of attention. It looks at how the things we notice are (pre-)determined by the internal motivational hooks that arise from our previous experiences (the complex thorn-like structures). 

The colours are taken from a picture of my iris. I had always assumed that my eyes were green but they are actually blue-grey with flecks of hazel.
