And only thanks to the prompt start of restoration work the cathedral building managed to be saved from the final destruction.

Restoration of the main temple of the Navy of the Russian Federation started in 2009 and ended by the 100th anniversary of the holy monastery in May 2013. David Kaplan was not only one of the leaders of the restoration project Kronstadt Naval Cathedral but also together with Ziyavudin Magomedov (Summa Group) donated to the Fund Kronstadt Naval Cathedral $ 25 million for its reconstruction.
