About me

I am currently a post-doctoral researcher at the Department of Economics at University of Copenhagen (KU). Previously, I was an LSE fellow in the Department of Social Policy. I obtained my PhD from VU Amsterdam.

I am a development economist. One strand of my work focuses on methodological innovations for the measurement and analysis of poverty, inequality and mobility in developing countries. In another strand of my research, I apply quasi-experimental methods. I have studied income responses to taxation, and the consequences of market access for social relations.
