Amd Catalyst Install Manager 8.0.916.0 Download

Hello, I've just finished setting up my newly built PC and along the way I managed to accidentally download AMD catalyst install manager, which is now outdated. The problem is I can't remove it, and it pops up every time I restart my computer. Uninstall is greyed out in settings, and it's not even there in task manager > start up. It doesn't even show anywhere when I search 'catalyst' in the windows bar. How do I get rid of this thing?

The program is listed in the Control Panel, and in Settings>Add Remove software. Using uninstall in the Control Panel completes, but the program still starts. The option to remove in Settings is greyed out.

It might be just as easy to simply reset the install, rather than to continue to try to remove the catalyst drivers. I've got all the downloaded drivers on the hard drive, and it doesn't take that long to install them.

I started using DDU when I did routine Video Driver updates in Win10 using Radeon Settings and my PC would crash during the final reboot. When I check the AMD Release Notes, they said to totally remove the old AMD drivers before installing new ones. OK, if that should always be the case, then why do they offer Express Upgrade -- which does not remove the drivers and reboot to a default driver in the interim?

Next I I reinstalled the software, and now the install manager dialogue was correct when the system was booted. Tried the removal process, and there was one failure. That was the removal of the install manager. LOL

I didn't bother looking for Catalyst software. I went to the page that lets AMD identify the graphics card and then install what AMD thought was the correct software. It did install the Adrenaline Edition, what ever the difference is.

I just installed W10, and the first thing i decided to do is install new drivers for my gpu, so i downloaded them, and went ahead to uninstall the old W7 one. It didn't let me. The unistall and modify buttons were greyed out. I managed to uninstall CCC but thats pointless. I decided to just download the new drivers and install them without uninstall the previous ones. Once the setup initilialized, It said AMD Catalyst Install Manager has stopped working, this happens every time i try to install it. Thanks for any reply given.

I just get a failure code when trying to do a quick delivery of this package. I have tried similar attempts using ATISetup.exe as the installation file. For instance, I have tried the following however still get the install GUI when running the package on a machine:

I was looking at a Dell install package for ATI drivers and that seems to use a -mup switch with a mup.xml answer file. Download it from the Precision Workstation M4600 windows 7 x64 drivers page and have a look.

Because of some stuttering issues while playing Planetside 2 I decided to check my graphics drivers and found that they were outdated. I downloaded the latest drivers from AMD (AMD Catalyst Driver 14.4) and ran it, but after installation the version number displayed in the CCC was the same.

However, now in the custom selection page it only shows as components ready to install the Install Manager itself (so it's installing itself? okay, I've seen weirder) and an HDMI audio driver. Only these two things appear with checkboxes, there's no Catalyst Control Centre, Hydravision, Gaming Evolved, none of that.

No matter how much I clean my PC (deleting all the C:\AMD, C:\Program files\ATI Technologies, etc.), the install manager doesn't even show the option to install the CCC. It does create the C:\Program Files\ATI Technologies, however when I check that folder it's empty.

I have an MSI Frozr II AMD Radeon 7850 2GB. I bought it maybe about two weeks ago and upon installing it I've been having problems with the HDMi audio from it. I have another question open about that, but while trying various things to fix that issue, I uninstalled and reinstalled all the AMD Drivers and now they won't work properly. (Yes, they used to work properly for the most part)

I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling using the Catalyst Install Manager. I've tried uninstalling using the Catalyst Uninstall Utility. I've tried uninstalling using Revo Uninstaller Pro. I've tried removing the graphics card, connecting to the onboard graphcis and uninstalling its drivers. I've tried doing it in Safe Mode. I've tried manually uninstalling the drivers using the Device Manager, I've tried everything, but every time I install CCC, it has no control over my graphics card.

One thing that's noteworthy is there are no errors in the log when I'm installing the drivers, twice there was an error installing the HDMI Audio drivers, but other than that there are none. Another thing is that when I'm installing the drivers, the screen doesn't blink like it should when you're installing a graphics driver.

As it turns out, the Setup.exe that AMD gives you doesn't always actually install the graphics driver. It installs the Install Manager, CCC, and the HDMI Audio driver, but not the graphics drivers. Below I'll lay out the steps for solving this:

So my catalyst installation programm wants me to install: CIM-installation package, bring me to my desktop, and I'll have to restore everything again. I've already installed a missing tool: Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 Redistributable Package (x64)

If I just install the drivers immidiatly, my Pc won't see the desktop, until I restore it to the old way again. Now, if I go to custom, in the installation, it shows that I don't have AMD CIM-Installationpacket.

I have installed and failed several times and restored (same windows copy) again, I've also installed an old driver, and restored it again (after I was not able to see the desktop, only with safe mode, like usal). When I try to reinstall it, with the same installation program, it tells me, that there are no drivers.

Same challenge here. We have a very large number of 9200/9300/9500 switches all in install mode. I have the firmware updater working with Bundle mode but I am facing this same challenge with Install mode. Running multiple jobs with no verification that an update succeeded or failed is not going to be an option, we need a solution that works as the Firmware Updater is advertised.

Depending on the software version you are on you can run 'install activate prompt-level none'

I believe this will get you past any issues where you have to say yes to confirm the reload etc.

I did a clean install of Ubuntu 14.04 but I can't install Catalyst. When I try to install the driver it displays an error that there is no compatible adapter. I tried it with the stable and the beta driver. Any clues?

I should say that in newer versions of Ubuntu you don't need to install catalyst control center as it's installed by default and if you try to install a catalyst driver 90% of time you would lose your desktop and taskbar and you'd need to purge fglrx and restore the default version of Ubuntu xorg or fgrlx driver.

Alright so I have many computer in which need the same driver installer (AMD-Catalyst-15.7.1-With-DOTNet45). I've ran /? against the exe in which gets extracted when you first the first exe and get a bunch of command line options.

I went through each folder under packages directory and just individually ran them or googled the file name to try and figure out what each installed. Since I wanted everything BUT Raptor, I could have listed every package but wasn't sure if there was additional stuff that wasn't needed like "SteadyVideo" for example. In the end, the code below is what I used to install drivers and Catalyst Control Center. So far everything seems to be working normally but just hope that I didn't leave out some packages for specific part of CCC to function.

The genuine InstallManagerApp.exe file is a software component of Catalyst Control Center by Advanced Micro Devices.

The Catalyst Control Center is an overclocking and optimization utility for ATI Radeon graphics cards. InstallManagerApp.exe runs the installation wizard for the Catalyst Control Center. This file may be removed if not required.

The Catalyst Control Centre is a program that enables AMD APUs and GPUs to perform faster. The software offers over twenty features and claims up to 19% performance increase on AMD Radeon graphics and up to 29% on AMD APUs. This program is often installed along with drivers for AMD graphics cards. The Catalyst Control Centre supports only the Windows platform.
