2. FACE AND VOICE RECOGNITION

Face and voice recognition are another two applications of data science. Google added a new feature for its users to search queries by speaking. We just say our query to google after tapping a microphone icon in its search bar. Google recognizes the voice and shows the desired results. Voice recognition is also used in security locks in our mobile phones. New smartphones have a feature of a voice recognition lock. Whenever an outsider tries to unlock the mobile phone, the system asks you to say something and matches the voice of the outsider with the owner.

We generally get suggestions on Facebook when we tag our friends in a picture. This is called image recognition. The system recognizes the image and starts giving relevant results. Another example of face recognition is a QR code. When we make our payments to a shop or at any place through paytm, we see a QR code. The scanners in our mobile phone scan that QR code image and make payment. In this way, image recognition works. Machine learning is a technique of data science which is used in face and voice recognition.

3. ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE AND MACHINE LEARNING

Artificial intelligence and machine learning are two influential techniques of data science. Artificial intelligence is a technique which is used to make machines intelligent and capable to think like a human being. Machine learning is a technique which makes machines learn from the data. However, machine learning and artificial intelligence look the same, but are two completely different things. These two techniques are used to make machines automated enough to not require human’s action to perform their tasks. The self-driving car is the best example of artificial intelligence and machine learning.

So, these are some applications of data science. The growth of this technology is increasing day by day. The companies are more comfortable with this technology.
