Completing academic research is a truly rewarding process for many reasons, one being that I can truly learn something new every day. A lesson that has become more apparent to me as of late is that communication is key. To maintain the efficiency and continuity of one’s research, it is imperative to have clear and consistent communication between all parties involved. If communication is lacking, then the project can get bogged down and, in the worst case, may fail. I am proud of the DDMS Team in that we are able to effectively communicate technical information to one another, even if it may be outside of our realm of expertise. This allows us to conduct novel research by capitalizing on our experiences in both materials science and data science. Cheers to everlasting success through proper communication!
