The most valuable firms in the world today are valued largely for their data. How can we measure this value, understand its consequences and incorporate it in our economic thinking?


Isaac Baley (Pompeu Fabra) and Laura Veldkamp (Columbia) will teach a 5-day online course, based on their new Ph.D. level textbook, The Data Economy: Tools and Applications.

 

Audience:


The course is open to Ph.D. students, faculty, researchers and masters' students in economics, finance, accounting, computer science, operations or related fields, with knowledge of vector calculus, optimization and intermediate statistics.
