For many years scientists have been trying to provide technologies with consciousness, teach it to read different emotions, etc. But what are the chances that technologies would realize itself one day? Having huge amounts of data about the world and humankind, would it still be on our side? Artists decided to raise this issue in our project.
Just as Nature itself forms the environment for the creation of new life, humanity forms the basis for the emergence of artificial life. An ancient chthonic creature that arose at the dawn of archaean is desperately trying to free itself from the predatory grip of modernity. And what threatens a person who sees this wild dance of madness and despair?
Materials: plastic, acrylic, plastazote, arduino, motion sensor, servo, robotic arm.
Enemy - is an interactive installation that consists of a robotic hand with a hanging creature clutching on it. The robotic-hand moves and makes the chthonic thing wriggle. The creature reacts to the potential viewers who come closer to it and put their hand above the sensor. There is a "red button" - uncharted object, next to the robot that turns off the mechanism power and consequently could stop sufferings and save the creature from potential death
In this projects artists arereferring to the past and future of humanity – chthonic darkness and technologies. The main hypothesis is that a human doesn’t know who his enemy is.
