**This is a concept course, so the company name, Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), and contact information are all fictional.
This concept project is a micro-course that provides people with need-to-know information to help them find a dog breed that will fit well with their family and lifestyle.
Many people don't understand that there is more to choosing a dog breed than just picking the cutest one. When people choose the wrong breed for their family, it increases the risk of having to rehome the dog, which can be very traumatic for both the family and the dog.
Solution
Helping people understand that not all dogs are the same and what to consider when choosing a dog will help ensure a happy life with their fur friend and will reduce the chance of having to rehome the dog.

Participant Handout
I used aspects of ADDIE as my design model to create this course from Analysis to Design to Development. ADDIE is dynamic and flexible so it was the perfect model to build this course.
Project Management
I created a Trello Board as my project management tool to keep track of the tasks within this project.
I created a Training Needs Analysis based on information collected in a Scoping Meeting with the SMEs where I asked probing questions to:
• Define the Scope
• Clarify Roles/Responsibilities
• Set Expectations
• Establish Timelines
Design
I developed a Course Outline using Excel and a Storyboard/First Draft using Word that was reviewed by the SMEs.
Development
I developed this course using PowerPoint as an instructor-led course. It was uploaded to Google Drive for the facilitator to access. It was then converted to a video using the recording feature in PowerPoint. It was edited and embellished in Premiere Pro and was published as a YouTube video to reach a larger audience. YouTube auto-generated the closed captions, which were then manually edited.
