Good choice! After all, you consider your car your space- a little sanctuary from the chaos happening around you. So, after double checking that all the doors and windows were sturdily locked, you reclined the seat back and closed your eyes, hoping that this would all blow over with the aid of sleep.
But it didn’t.
You couldn’t count how many times you woke up that night. Drenched in cold sweat, head spinning, you were tormented by fitful nightmares. Words couldn't give justice to the abstract, gory images that plagued your dream: natural instinct, to your bones, panic-response-stimulating terror.
After hours of trying fruitlessly to get back to sleep, you gave up. Body weak and nauseous from hunger, your shivering was only compounded by the fact your heating unit had gone sometime during the night. Weighing your options, you decided to suck it up and venture out into the downpour, which regrettably hadn’t yet let up. After that night pf vague horros and tortured dreams, you needed directions! You needed directions, and food, and a real bed, and-

In the near distance sat a cluster of brightly colored caravans and massive purple tents, the entire camp just glowing with warm, golden lantern light. In fact, you almost swore you heard…music! It was a group of travelers!
While you weren't sure how friendly they would be to a stranger intruding on their colony, it would be worth a shot. At least, you had better odds pleading your case with them than the only other alternative: wandering aimlessly in the rain. Perhaps you could run into someone who may grant you shelter, or a modicum of sympathy, but it seemed unlikely.
You were soaked down to your socks now. You had to make a decision.
