By using DareCircle, you agree to the collection and use of information described below.

2. Information We Collect
We only collect the minimum information necessary to operate the app and provide features.
Local device data (stored on your device) — DareCircle stores game-related data locally on your device using the device’s local storage. This includes:
Player profiles (name, avatar, points)
Game history and statistics
Custom questions you create
Settings and preferences (sound, theme, accent color, AI credits)
Device permissions — The app may request permissions required for certain features:
Microphone: If you enable features that use audio (recording, voice interactions), the app will request microphone access. Microphone recordings are used only as described in-app (e.g., a voice-based feature) and are not uploaded unless you explicitly grant permission for upload.
In-app purchases & platform data — Purchases made through Google Play or Apple App Store are processed by the platform; we do not receive your full payment credentials. We may retain basic purchase receipt information to unlock purchased content in the app.
Crash reports & diagnostics (optional) — If you enable optional diagnostics or crash reporting, minimal technical data (error logs, device model, OS version) may be collected to help us fix bugs.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use data to:
Provide and operate the app features (gameplay, custom questions, achievements).
Store your preferences and restore your progress on the same device.
Process and validate purchases to unlock paid content.
Improve the app (analytics and crash reports if you opt in).

We do NOT require an account to play. By default, your game data remains on your device.

Local storage: Most game data is stored locally on your device (AsyncStorage or equivalent). This keeps your data on-device unless you choose to back it up or share it.
Transmission: If you opt to send logs or use features that upload data (e.g., cloud sync, support attachments), data will be transmitted securely (HTTPS).
Security measures: We take reasonable technical and organizational steps to protect data. However, no transmission or storage can be guaranteed 100% secure.
Retention: We retain locally stored data until you delete it from the app, reset settings, or uninstall the app. If data is uploaded, retention depends on the third-party service used.
7. Children
DareCircle is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child provided personal data, contact us and we will remove it.
8. Your Rights & Choices
Local data control: You can delete game data, custom questions, and reset settings in the app UI (Settings screen).
Opt-out: You can opt out of optional analytics, diagnostics, sound/haptics, and AI features where available.
Access and deletion requests: For data we retain on servers (if any), you may request access, correction, or deletion by contacting us at the address above. We will respond within a reasonable timeframe.
9. Cookies and Similar Technologies
The mobile app does not use browser cookies like a website does. The app may use local storage mechanisms on your device to remember settings.
10. International Transfers
If any data is transmitted outside your country (for example, to a third-party service hosted abroad), we will take steps to ensure an adequate level of protection, but laws and protections may vary by jurisdiction.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in the app or legal requirements. When we do, we will update the Effective Date at the top. Significant changes will be communicated in the app where appropriate.
