Hi, I'm Darci Fischer

I'm a PhD student in Accounting at the Questrom School of Business at Boston University on the 2024-2025 academic job market. My research interests include tax and financial reporting regulation. 

Prior to joining Questrom, I worked as a Tax Manager and CPA in Deloitte’s federal tax practice. I have extensive experience in leading tax compliance projects, tax transaction modeling, and as a tax specialist for audit clients. During my time at Deloitte, I also co-developed and instructed tax trainings for clients, external groups, and internal audiences in the U.S. and India.

I grew up in Southern Illinois near St. Louis, Missouri. In my free time, I enjoy walking with my dog and husband, reading, traveling, cooking, playing piano, and crocheting.
