The Oneness of lordship: It is to single out Allah Almighty in creation, provision, giving life, causing death, and all kinds of governance and management of the kingdom of the heavens and the earth, and to attribute sovereignty and legislation to Him by sending messengers and revealing books. He, may He be glorified and exalted, says: "Is not He (better than your gods) Who created the heavens and the earth, and sends down for you water (rain) from the sky, whereby We cause to grow wonderful gardens full of beauty and delight? It is not in your ability to cause the growth of their trees. Is there any ilah (God) with Allah? Nay, but they are a people who ascribe equals (to Him)!" [Surah An-Naml - Ayah 60]
And the Oneness of worship: It is to single out Allah Almighty in worship, so no one is worshipped other than Him, and He alone is called upon, sought for help, invoked in times of need, and sacrificed to. Allah Almighty says: "And say: 'Verily, my Salat (prayer), my sacrifice, my living, and my dying are for Allah, the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinn and all that exists). He has no partner. And of this I have been commanded, and I am the first of the Muslims.'" [Surah Al-An'am - Ayah 162-163]
And the Oneness of names and attributes: It is to describe Allah Almighty and to name Him with what He described and named Himself, and with what His Messenger, may peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, described and named Him in the authentic Hadith, without likening Him to His creation, without giving Him any resemblance, interpretation, or negation. "There is nothing like unto Him, and He is the All-Hearer, the All-Seer." [Surah Ash-Shura - Ayah 11] "The Lord of the heavens and the earth, and all that is between them (Oneness of lordship), so worship Him and be patient in His worship. Do you know of any who is similar to Him (Oneness of worship)?" [Surah Maryam - Ayah 65]
