Mission

Dar Al-Hijrah Institute For Islamic Knowledge and Calling to ISLAM was established in 1442 A.H. to provide educational programs designed to facilitate Islamic knowledge for those interested in it, in the city of Jacksonville, Florida.

The main objective behind the project is to educate Muslims about the important principles in their religion which they cannot be ignorant about, Providing information, answering questions and clarifying misconceptions about ISLAM for non-Muslims, also to spread and preserve authentic Islamic knowledge which is based on the Book of Allah and the Sunnah of His Messenger Muhammad (peace be upon him), in its purest form and according to the understanding of the best of generations, presented in a modern facilitated manner and produced professionally.

قَالَ اللهُ سُبحَانَهُ وَتَعالَى: (يَرْفَعِ اللَّهُ الَّذِينَ آَمَنُوا مِنْكُمْ وَالَّذِينَ أُوتُوا الْعِلْمَ دَرَجَاتٍ) سورة المُجادلة

Allah the Supremely Exalted says (interpretation of the meaning): “Allah will exalt in degree those of you who believe and those who have been granted knowledge” (Al-Mujadilah 11).

قَالَ النّبيّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: "إِذَا أَرَادَ اللَّهُ بِعَبْدٍ خَيْرًا فَقَّهَهُ فِي الدِّينِ" (مُتفق عليه)

The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “When Allah wishes good for a person, He makes him understand the religion.” (Agreed upon).

وقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: "مَنْ سَلَكَ طَرِيقًا يَلْتَمِسُ فِيهِ عِلْمًا سَهَّلَ اللَّهُ لَهُ طَرِيقًا إِلَى الْجَنَّةِ" (رواه البُخاري)

And The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) also said: “Whoever follows a path in the pursuit of knowledge, Allah will make a path to Paradise easy for him.” (Narrated by Al-Bukhari).

وَقَالَ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: "خَيْرُكُمْ مَنْ تَعَلَّمَ الْقُرْآنَ وَعَلَّمَهُ" (مُتفق عليه) 

And he (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) also said: “The best of you is the one who learns the Qur’an and teaches it.” (Agreed upon).
