Cellular Dynamics on Cruved Surfaces

Our research shows that curvature and packing dynamics drive collective cell migration and tissue fluidity in 3D systems like lung alveolospheres. Increased curvature triggers the unjamming transition (UJT), enhancing cell mobility, which is crucial for processes like wound healing and development. As tissues grow, cells transition from a gas-like to a liquid-like state, highlighting the key roles of curvature, cell packing, and geometry in regulating complex biological functions.
