Danilo Tardioli is an Associate Professor at Centro Universitario de la Defensa, Zaragoza, Spain. He completed his degree in Computer Science Engineering in 2004 from the University of Bologna (Italy) and obtained his PhD from the University of Zaragoza in 2010.
His primary research interests in robotics include real-time and QoS wireless communication in robotics networks, multi-robot systems, and robotics in challenging environments. He has authored 12 publications in journals indexed by the Journal Citation Report, with 10 of them positioned in the first quartile of the Web of Science (Q1).
Additionally, he has contributed to 18 publications in international conferences and has been involved in 14 national and regional research projects along with one funded by the European Union, where he served as the project coordinator for one of them.
He has undertaken numerous research visits at esteemed universities and research laboratories across Spain, Europe, and the United States, including UPO Sevilla, Eurecat Barcelona, FEUP Porto, ETH Zurich, LAAS Toulouse, KTH Stockholm, and UPENN Philadelphia.
He has been a co-IP of the national project ARDUA and currently serves as co-IP of the project ROBOCOMPLEX.
Furthermore, he holds the position of secretary at the Spanish Society for Research and Development in Robotics (SEIDROB) and is a member of the Steering Committee of the IEEE RAS Technical Committee on Multi- robot Systems.
He has served as the General Chair of the 5th and 6th Iberian Robotics conferences held in Zaragoza in 2022 and Coimbra in 2023 respectively, and as a co-chair of various international conferences. Also, he has been actively involved in Program and Organizing Committees of several international conferences.
