Daniel Windisch


Postdoc at the

School of Mathematics of the University of Edinburgh,

in the group of Dimitra Kosta.

 

In the first half of 2024, I was a postdoc at the Max-Planck-Institute for Mathematics in the Sciences Leipzig in the group Interdisciplinary Frontiers of Algebraic Geometry of İrem Portakal and in the Nonlinear Algebra group of Bernd Sturmfels.

In March and April 2023, I was a visitor at the Excellence Cluster Mathematics Münster.

In 2023, I was a postdoc at the Institute of Analysis and Number Theory, Graz University of Technology, Austria.
I completed my doctoral studies under the supervision of Sophie Frisch at Graz University of Technology in December 2022.


Research interests: 

Algebraic Geometry/Commutative Algebra and their applications (primarily to statistics, learning theory and game theory)

Algebraic Number Theory, Factorization Theory

Model Theory of rings and fields
