I am an Associate Professor in the Department of Economics at the Federal University of Pelotas (UFPel) and a permanent faculty member of the Graduate Program in Organizations and Markets (PPGOM). I hold a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Brasília (UnB) and completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the University of São Paulo (FEA/USP). I have also served as a visiting professor at the University of Alberta (Canada) and the Graduate Program in Production Engineering at UFRGS (PPGEP/UFRGS).
My research focuses on Applied Economics, with a particular emphasis on Microeconometrics, Causal Inference, and Public Policy Evaluation. I lead the Intelligence for Applied Economic Development (IDEA) research group and hold a Productivity Scholarship in Research from the National Council for Scientific and Technological Development (CNPq).
My academic work spans several fields, including Energy Economics, Environmental Economics, Innovation and Technology Economics, Law and Economics, and Labor Economics. I have published extensively in national and international journals and actively contribute to the development of methodologies and evidence-based insights to address real-world economic challenges.
