The project was thought for fishing outpost on a remote Island located 800 km off the Chilean coast. It creates a master plan and development strategy according to the sensitive environmental conditions of this UNESCO biosphere reserve. The urban design and architecture responds the unique characteristics of the area while maintaining the ecological footprint to an absolute minimum.
Considerations such as water management, renewable energies, waste recycling, gray water treatment and the complete implementation of native vegetation green roofs keep the energy and hydrologic cycles in their pre-development conditions, making this project a viable option for the future development of this extreme territory.
