The San Cristobal Hill is one of the main geographic landmarks in Santiago. It is recognised at urban scale because of its two peaks over the city skyline, its antennas towers, and mainly the eminent virgin sculpture on top of one of them. The approach considers to integrate elements into the hill in such a waythat they do not compete with the existing landmarks and religious significance. Instead a series of vertical elements replicate the hill shape generating a second topography where the antennas get lost in-between.
There are two ways to reach the top of the hill, the first one a pedestrian path around the hill, ramping up the slope, and the second through a shortcut with a straight stair connecting the upper viewing areas with the entrance and different levels of the system.
