I am an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mechanical & Industrial Engineering at the University of Massachusetts Lowell. My research interests focus on developing stochastic network models with competing decision makers for public health problems. My current research is on mitigating drug shortages, disrupting human trafficking networks, and supply chain resiliency for critical commodities.
I am currently looking for PhD students.
Some topics I am actively interested in are:
Improving decision-making for FDA inspections of pharmaceutical manufacturing facilities
Analyzing cascading impacts of drug shortages on related products
Disrupting domestic sex trafficking circuits
I received my PhD in Mathematics at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute under the supervision of John E. Mitchell and Thomas C. Sharkey. My dissertation research was supported by a National Institute of Justice Graduate Research Fellowship. Before joining UMass Lowell, I was a Postdoctoral Research Associate in the Department of Mechanical & Industrial Engineering at Northeastern University working with Özlem Ergun.
