About

Daniel is an Associate Professor in the Department of Agricultural and Resource Economics (DARE) at Colorado State University (CSU), where he integrates research, teaching, and outreach to advance profitable and sustainable agricultural systems. His research and extension programs focus on agricultural production systems, food and farm value chains, and business management. Current projects address crop and livestock production strategies, water and soil resource conservation, technology adoption and impact assessment, and farm and ranch financial performance.

Daniel teaches undergraduate courses in Agricultural and Resource Enterprise Analysis (AREC 305) and Agricultural Production Management (AREC 405), as well as the graduate-level Agricultural Production and Cost Analysis (AREC 605). He received a Ph.D. and B.S. in Agricultural and Applied Economics from the University of Wisconsin–Madison and an M.S. in Agricultural Economics from Michigan State University. His professional experience includes working as a visiting instructor at Beloit College, a Research Associate at the University of Tennessee–Knoxville, and a Peace Corps Volunteer in Panama.
