I am a cognitive linguist who specialises in multimodal communication that is currently a postdoctoral researcher at University of Murcia, Spain. My work focuses on the integration between speech and gesture in the expression of temporal concepts. I employ qualitative gesture analysis methods together with large-scale quantitative analysis to establish gesture-speech patterns in communication and cognition.

Some of my other interests include: the role of creativity and emotion in the expression of time, multimodal communication (speech, gesture, film, music...), gesture production and comprehension, application of experimental methods to test hypothesis in Cognitive Linguistics and applications of gesture research in education.
