I'm a DFG postdoctoral fellow in Astrophysics at Heidelberg Universität

Research interests

My main interest is in stellar and black hole (BH) dynamics in star clusters, and the formation of dormant star-BH binaries and gravitational waves (GW) from binary BH (BBH) mergers. During my PhD, I worked on the population of dynamically-assembled BBHs (three-body BBHs), as well as BBH-BBH interactions. Among the observables with GWs I studied, I focused on orbital eccentricity, as it is a "smoking-gun" signal of dynamical formation. Furthermore, I led the first paper demonstrating the dynamical origin of the dormant star-BH binary Gaia BH3.
