I’m running for the Woodman School Board because of my deep commitment to this community, and I’ve seen what’s at stake firsthand. My daughter got her elementary and now middle school education at Woodman, and over these years, I watched it rise and fall. When she started, we had over 50 students and plenty of teachers to go around, after-school programs, - good times. Now? The district’s scrambling for every dollar, combining classes, and stretched thin because we can’t fund enough teachers.
As a homeowner who’s never leaving, a parent volunteer, and a taxpayer funding these schools, that hits me hard. I’ve been at every board meeting for two years because I care about our students, our faculty, and turning this around.
I stand for Montana values of hard work and fairness. Montana’s Constitution guarantees our right to know and participate. I’ll defend that transparency tooth and nail, because you deserve a say in getting us back to strong. My commitment to this constitutional right can literally be viewed on YouTube, because I’ve recorded the last year and a half of board meetings to make sure the community is informed.
If I’m elected, I’ll stop the insider games and will serve the Lolo Creek Community with dignity, respecting each meeting by bringing a focus on results instead of distraction. I’ll fight for every vacancy to be done right - advertised to every citizen in the District, open to anyone ready to serve, and filled by someone who’s taken the oath.
I’m not some drifter tied to a ranch job that turns over fast, like a past trustee who bailed when the gig was up. I’m here for the long haul, not passing through. And I’m not here for side-shows that derail the real work. I’m running to rebuild a board that puts our kids and teachers first, teaching students to stand tall as Americans and serve their communities with dignity and respect. Vote for me on May 6th. With my feet planted in Lolo soil and my eyes on Woodman’s future, I’ll make our school a powerhouse of strength again, not a shadow of what it was.
