Allow me to Introduce Myself

Hey there!
I am Vanessa, but my dancers call me Miss V. I began dancing at age 3 and basically I never stopped! I tried the whole sport thing, but let me tell you... it's NOT for me! I have literally always seen myself as a teacher but it wasn't until I became a teenager that I realized I was needed in the dance world as a teacher. I was never the "typical" dancer. I had a great technique background (shout out to my first ballet teacher!) BUT I was always curvy and over weight. And it didn't help I have crazy curly hair that cannot be tamed in a ballet bun! I chose to chase my passion for teaching into the dance world because I want to be the teacher I never had growing up. I want to show all my little girls and boys it doesn't matter what they look like, or how they dress for class, or if they have rips in their tights. NONE of that matters!! If they have a love and passion for dance, that is all that matters! Often times, children can be torn down at a young age and they can never recover from that idea of not being enough, No child deserves this! I am doing anything and everything I can to change the dance world, one pre-ballet dance class at a time!
Alright now you know a little about me, let me explain why I began blogging. So, COVID-19 is killing me (metaphorically) everyday! I have a passion for being creative and I NEED to let it out. Sooo... Here I am! That being said, here is what to expect! I promise lots of typos, grammar errors, and just plain rambling at some points. But I also promise fun dance ideas for kiddos, helpful tips from my dance career, cheap dance mom hacks, and anything I feel like will help parents and dancers for when we are released back into the wild (aka society).
Let's dance!
