DANCE POINTE
Welcome to Dance Pointe!
At Dance Pointe, we require a class uniform because it promotes equality and helps us focus on dancing, rather than what we are wearing. A uniform allows the teacher to clearly see each dancer’s body alignment, ensuring movements are learned safely. Please make sure hair is neat and tidy, off your face - nothing is more distracting than flyaway hairs or a ponytail whipping during turns.
Class uniform is compulsory from the Tinies level and up (all school-aged classes). We ask that you organise your class uniform items within two weeks of starting your Dance Pointe class. While we recommend Australian Energetiks dancewear, you are welcome to source other brands as long as the uniform follows our guidelines regarding colour and style. Please choose plain items with no large or visible logos, and avoid studio-branded dancewear unless it is Dance Pointe-branded.
For trial students, wear anything comfortable for the class and class-appropriate footwear, or you can take the class barefoot.
Adult classes have no set uniform - simply wear your preferred exercise attire and appropriate footwear.
Don't forget to bring along a water bottle for your class!

There is no set class uniform. Dancers can wear anything comfortable for class, or opt for the Tinies uniform option. Please bring a water bottle to class.
Please note: While fluffy skirts and tutu dresses are super cute, they can make it difficult for little dancers to see their feet at a quick glance, and long skirts may pose a trip hazard.
SHOES:
Ballet Buddies: Barefoot or non-slip socks.
Ballet Stars: Barefoot, non-slip socks, or ballet shoes (ballet pink for girls, black for boys). If performing (optional at Dance Pointe), ballet pink ballet shoes and ballet tights for girls, or black ballet shoes with white ankle socks for boys, are required.

TINIES
TINIES
Tinies are required to wear the following class uniform:
Girls: Energetiks Charlotte leotard in ballet pink with the Energetiks Emily skirt in ballet pink. Ballet pink ballet shoes with either matching dance socks or ballet tights. Hair should be neatly tied back off the face. During the winter months, a ballet pink cross-over top, or a Dance Pointe t-shirt in pink or black may be worn. Please bring a water bottle to class.
Boys: Dance Pointe t-shirt with black or navy blue shorts. Black ballet shoes with white socks. During the winter months, dancers may wear a plain black long-sleeve top for added warmth. Please bring a water bottle to class and rehearsals.

Ballet: Energetiks Charlotte leotard in lilac, paired with Energetiks Emily skirt in lilac. Ballet pink ballet shoes with either matching dance socks or ballet tights.
Tap: Energetiks Charlotte leotard in lilac, paired with either Energetiks Emily skirt in lilac, any black leggings or shorts. Tan tap shoes with matching socks. (For Junior 3 level and up, the Tap shoe requirement is black split-sole, lace-up Tap shoes with matching socks.)
Contemporary (levels 2-4): Energetiks Charlotte leotard in lilac, paired with any black leggings or shorts. The leotard can be replaced with any plain, black form-fitting top.

where to purchase uniform items?
where to purchase uniform items?
The Dance Pointe uniform shop is available at reception and online through your Class Manager portal for studio t-shirts, studio singlets, and MDM Ballet and Jazz shoes. Studio jacket orders are taken in March each year for Term 2 delivery.
Energetiks uniform items can be purchased directly at energetiks.com.au or from any dance wear store.
Preloved dance wear items are available through our studio Facebook group - click HERE!
We gladly accept previously loved class uniform donations, which will be offered to dancers in case of accidents or placed in the 'Free Items' box.
