A quadriplegic has sued a Florida strip club because he couldn't get his wheelchair into its lap-dancing room. Edward Law said the Wildside Adult Sports Cabaret violated the Americans with Disabilities Act because the lap-dancing room is up a short flight of stairs. The lawsuit also said the club had no disabled parking, inaccessible restrooms and its stage was too high to see the dancers from a wheelchair. U.S. Rep. Mark Foley called the lawsuit "a bigger flop than ... Showgirls" -- to which Law's lawyer responded: "I'm shocked that a Republican congressman would support the sex industry."

I am eternally grateful that my parents spent many hours and no doubt many dollars in my dance lessons throughout my childhood. As a creative soul, theatre and dance have been a large part of my life. Had you asked me as I left school that I would end up a lawyer, I would have laughed! Had you then told me I would somehow manage to ensure around 50 other lawyers danced once a year in stupid costumes I would have laughed harder!
