Ivy Halvorson

My name is Ivy Halvorson. I started dancing when I was three years old & joined the Dance Explosion family when I was eight. I participated in poms, hiphop, tap, jazz, lyrical, pointe, production, and had many solos. I graduated from New Richmond High School in 2019 and was on the dance team for four years. I was captain my senior year, named All-Conference, All-State and also received the Just For Kix Heather Habeck Memorial Award in 2018. After graduating high school, I went to Northwood Technical College and now work full time at Hudson Physicians as a medical assistant & scribe. Outside of work & teaching dance, I spend all my time with my fiance, Blake, our various pets (cats, dogs, chickens, turkeys, & ducks), and our close family/friends. My family has been nothing but supportive with my passion for dance. Dance is a huge chapter in my life and I am so blessed to be able to teach at a place I call my second home!
