Dance Clock Terms of Use
Last updated and effective: September 25, 2026
Welcome to Dance Clock (the “App”), provided by the developer named on the App’s page in the App Store (“we” or “us”). By downloading, installing or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you don’t agree, please stop using and delete the App. “Device” means the iPhone or iPad the App is installed on, and “iOS” includes iPadOS.
1. Apple’s license agreement
The App is distributed through the Apple App Store, so your use of it is also governed by Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement (the Standard EULA, https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/). These Terms add to the Standard EULA; where they differ, whichever gives you more protection applies. Apple isn’t a party to these Terms and isn’t responsible for the App or its content.
2. What the App does
• Dance Clock is an alarm clock: when it rings, you do a mission in front of your device’s front camera, like dancing, squats, push-ups or a motion game, and the alarm stops once you finish.
• Motion recognition happens on your device. See the Privacy Policy for how.
• The App has a free version and a paid Pro upgrade (see section 8). No account needed.
3. Exercise safety (please read)
• Missions involve jumping, squats, push-ups, planks, stretching and other movement. Right after waking up your reactions are slower, so make sure you have enough room, the floor isn’t slippery, nothing is in the way, and your device is set up securely.
• If you’re pregnant, have heart, lung, joint or bone conditions, were recently injured, or a doctor told you to limit exercise, talk to a doctor first and pick easier missions or a lower difficulty.
• Stop right away if you feel dizzy, short of breath, in pain or otherwise unwell. Once you’ve started moving, you can tap Take a Break at any time; after about a minute, you can switch to the backup (hold a button) to stop the alarm.
• The App isn’t a medical device and doesn’t give medical, fitness or rehabilitation advice. Move instructions are only there to help you finish your wake-up mission.
• Minors should use the App with a parent or guardian’s guidance.
4. Alarm reliability
• We work hard to make alarms ring on time, but whether and how loudly they ring also depends on things we can’t control, like iOS, the permissions you grant, ringer volume, battery and your device’s state.
• On iOS 26 and later, the App uses the iOS system alarm feature. On versions before iOS 26 it can only use notifications, which may be silent in Silent Mode or a Focus, play for up to about 30 seconds each, and repeat for up to about 5 minutes.
• Tapping “Stop” on the alarm only pauses it for about 20 seconds. The alarm fully turns off once you finish the mission or the backup (hold a button). The backup unlocks if the camera can’t be used, after about a minute of trying, once you’ve done a third of the mission, or after about a minute on the Take a Break screen.
• iOS manages system alarms. Before deleting the App, turn off all alarms in the App.
• For flights, exams, interviews, medication and other important things, set another reminder too. To the extent the law allows, we aren’t liable for losses caused by an alarm not ringing or ringing late.
5. Motion recognition accuracy
Light, distance, clothing, background and how your device is placed can all affect recognition, so moves may occasionally be missed or miscounted. If it can’t see you, follow the tips on screen. If camera access is denied, the camera won’t open, or it still can’t recognize you after about a minute, you can use the backup to stop the alarm. Streaks, wake-up times and other stats are for reference only.
6. Sounds you import or record
You can import audio or video from Files, pick a video from Photos (audio only), or record with the microphone to use as an alarm sound. Make sure you have the right to use that audio, and get permission before recording someone else. You’re responsible if something you import or record infringes someone else’s rights. These files stay on your device and we can’t access them.
7. Intellectual property
We own the App’s design, code, original alarm sounds, illustrations and text. Third-party components and fonts in the App are licensed under their own licenses, which come with the App’s installation package. Please don’t copy, modify, reverse engineer or commercially distribute the App without permission.
8. Free and Pro
Free: 1 alarm on at a time; three moves (Squats, Jumping Jacks and Push-ups) with the default reps and difficulty; Dance as a practice run, but not as an alarm mission; all built-in sounds; the wake-up check by holding a button, 10 minutes after your mission; 1 streak freeze a week; the last 7 days of wake-up history.
Pro: Dance plus every other move and motion game, unlimited alarms, custom reps and difficulty, your own sounds (imported audio, audio from videos, recordings), moving to pass the wake-up check and choosing its delay, up to 3 streak freezes a week, and your full history. Pro comes as a yearly auto-renewing subscription (which may include a free trial), a weekly auto-renewing subscription, or a one-time Lifetime purchase. Names, periods and prices are as shown on the purchase screen and in the App Store. Pro doesn’t support Family Sharing.
Payment: all purchases are In-App Purchases through Apple, charged to your Apple Account when you confirm. We never receive your payment details.
Auto-renewal: yearly and weekly subscriptions renew automatically. Unless you turn off auto-renew at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, Apple charges your Apple Account for the next period, at the then-current price, within the 24 hours before the current period ends. If the price changes, Apple will let you know in advance according to its rules.
Free trial: the yearly subscription may include a free trial; the purchase screen shows whether you’re eligible. Cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends and you won’t be charged; otherwise the yearly price is charged when the trial ends. If you buy another subscription during a trial, the rest of the trial is forfeited.
Managing and canceling: manage or cancel in Settings → your name → Subscriptions. After you cancel, you keep Pro until the end of the period you’ve paid for, and it won’t renew. We’ll send a reminder the day before a free trial ends, a subscription renews or Pro expires (if you allow notifications).
When Pro ends: when a subscription ends, or a Lifetime purchase is refunded, the App switches to the free version the next time you open it (if an alarm is ringing at that moment, after its mission is done). The alarm that rings next stays on, with anything the free version doesn’t cover changed to what it does (for example, Jumping Jacks instead of a Pro move, the default sound instead of your own, holding a button for the wake-up check). Your other alarms are paused. When you renew, the paused alarms come back on and those changes are undone, unless you’ve edited that alarm since. Streak freezes drop to 1 a week from the week the App switched; earlier weeks aren’t affected.
Refunds and restoring: Apple handles refunds under its policies; you can request one at https://reportaproblem.apple.com. On a new device or after reinstalling, tap Restore Purchases on the purchase screen.
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, the App is provided “as is”, and we aren’t liable for indirect losses from using or being unable to use it, except where the law doesn’t allow that to be excluded or limited. Nothing in these Terms affects the rights you have as a consumer under the law.
10. Changes and ending
We may update these Terms when the App changes or the law requires. We’ll change the date at the top and point out big changes in the App. You can stop using and delete the App at any time.
11. Governing law
The governing-law provisions of Apple’s Standard EULA also apply to these Terms. This doesn’t take away any protection you have under the mandatory consumer laws of the country where you live.

Pro
